Role Overview
We are seeking a strong Financial Manager (Group Finance Lead) to own end-to-end financial operations, multi-country accounting, financial governance, and investor- facing finance activities. This is a senior, high-impact role, acting as the CEO’s financial partner and ensuring the company operates with Series-A-grade discipline, credibility, and transparency.
Key Responsibilities
Group Accounting & Operations:
- Group Accounting & Operations
- Own group-level accounting across all operating countries
- Manage local accounting firms and external advisors
- Ensure consistent chart of accounts and reporting standards
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
- Coordinate VAT, payroll, tax, and statutory compliance
- Set and enforce financial processes:
- Invoicing and revenue recognition
- Expense approvals and controls
- Intercompany transactions
Financial Governance & Scale:
- Implement financial policies, internal controls, and approval matrices
- Ensure audit and Series-A due diligence readiness
- Oversee financial reporting quality and controlling outputs
- Partner with Legal, HR, and Operations on financial matters
- Prepare and present board-level financial insights
Fundraising & Investor Interface:
- Partner with the CEO on Series A fundraising
- Own:
- Financial narrative and valuation logic
- Use-of-funds and scenario modeling
- Lead financial due diligence and investor Q&A
- Support negotiation of term sheets and investment structures
- Act as a credible financial voice with investors and board members
Profile & Experience
- 10 + years of experience in finance leadership roles
- Previous experience as Head of Finance / Finance Director / CFO in a scale-up
- Proven involvement in VC-backed fundraising (Series A and/or B)
- Strong experience with multi-country accounting and governance
- Strategic mindset combined with operational depth
- Confident communicator with investors and senior stakeholders
