The Greenfield approach – New Implementation

This is a new system implementation. This is a conversion from an existing SAP ERP suite to SAP S/4HANA. In this scenario, we use the current system to analyze it, activate new features, and convert to SAP S/4HANA. Here we re-design the current processes to make them work in the S/4HANA environment. The brownfield method stabilizes the current system and upgrades it to work with SAP S/4HANA.

In this conversion, we use Software Update Manager (SUM) with Database Migration Option (DMO).

Landscape Transformation

This is a consolidation approach, where you don’t convert the whole system but only selective parts of the business processes. First, you decide on what processes gives you the best and fastest ROI and migrate then to S/4HANA.
